When Ed Balls Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families launched the ‘Children’s Plan’ he recognized that culture should be an intrinsic part of improving the lives of all childen and young people. He said
“All children, no matter where they live or their background, will have opportunities to get involved in high quality cultural activities in and out of school”
Over 80% of schools in the East of England already use local museums. MLA East Of England, together with museums, libraries and archives are committed to ensuring they maximise their potential impact on every child and young person in the region.
