Literacy
Teachers all over the region are finding that a museum visit can provide a real reason for children to read and write, talk and listen.
In Cambridgeshire teachers found multi-sensory texts in their local museums inspired them and their pupils to take a cross-curricular approach to the revised literacy framework.
They developed plans based on visits to Ely Stained Glass Museum which inspired narrative for yr2s, explanation linked with the Folk Museum (yr4) and poetry for yr4s at the Cromwell Museum.
